To make a long story short, our authors are all experts in their field, and we are committed to supporting them right through their writing journey.

For over 30 years, oak tree press has developed and delivered information, advice and resources to entrepreneurs and managers across Ireland and internationally.

In 2023, Oak Tree press’ parent Cork Publishing Ltd became part of the Brussels-headquartered Corporate Group of specialist publishing companies, opening new opportunities for Oak Tree authors across Europe in a range of languages.

Our publishing group is small enough to care passionately about every one of our books and our authors, and big enough to provide top-quality global distribution, rights, and sales and marketing support.

Steady presence in Ireland, Belgium and Switzerland with outposts in the UK, the United States, Australia and China (and beyond !) do offer our authors multiple edges.

Yearly sales are oriented towards the € 2M mark ($ 2.2M • CHF 1.9M) with an international team of 15 professionals.

Our international offices are installed in Cork (IE), Brussels (BE) and Bulle (CH). Two complementary regional centers are devoted to adding value to the specificities of book publishing in France (office in Liège (BE - Belgian French speaking region)) and in the Netherlands (office in Herentals (BE- Belgian Dutch speaking region)).

Brian O'Kane

Founder / Publisher

Brian is the Founder/Publisher of Oak Tree Press, Ireland’s leading business book publisher. Trained as a chartered accountant, he has edited the professional membership magazines of two of the world’s largest accountancy bodies. Brian is also the author (or co-author with Ron Immink) of a number of key Irish business planning texts. He holds a BComm degree from University College Dublin, and a Master’s degree by research from Waterford IT (now SETU). He is a Fellow of Chartered Accountants Ireland.

Axel Neefs

Manager

Economist (IAG - University of Louvain) and journalist (editor in two prominent Belgian media, Trends magazine and the newspaper l'Echo), Axel grew his companies within the ITAA (Belgian Institute of Chartered Accountants) before taking off as an independent publisher with its new historical partner, a university psychologist by training, Pierre Delroisse.
